The Beginning of our School Garden

On Friday 22 March Mr Postles came and ripped the old school house paddock. We are going to make this into our garden.

Room 5 went and had a look as the big tractor dug deep into the hard ground.

Here we are going to see the tractor.

The dirt was really hard.

The tractor pulled up some old pipes.

SALE DAY
On 18.03.13 we were selling kumara and organic garlic.
We first put up posters about it and got every thing ready to sell.
We put the kumara in 1 kg and 2 kg bags and sold the 1kg bags for $3 and the 2kg bags for $5.
We also sold the garlic for $1.
This is Mereraiha writing a sign to tell every one that we're selling kumara and garlic.

This is what our store looked like.

This is me and Luke putting up posters.

SAVING THE VINES FOR SEEDLINGS

LAST NOVEMBER WE PLANTED KUMARA AND WE KEPT THE VINES AND PLANTED THEM AGAIN.
WE ARE TRYING TO SEE IF IT WILL GROW AND GIVE SEEDLINGS THAT WE CAN PLANT NEXT NOVEMBER.
I'M PLANTING

THIS IS THE BEFORE AND AFTER.
WE TRIMMED IT SO IT IS NOT SO BIG.
WE TRIMMED IT SO WE COULD PLANT ONLY THE ROOTS FOR NEW VINES TO COME OUT.
